McComb team headed to Babe Ruth World Series | Community Spirit

McCOMB, MS (WLBT) - The Southwest Regional Champion McComb Babe Ruth 15-year-old baseball team is once again headed to the Babe Ruth World Series.

The week-long tournament starts Saturday in Jamestown, New York. The team plays its first game on Saturday at 1:35 p.m. CST.

This McComb team has won the state championship three years in a row and has already made on trip to the World Series.

They went to Utah in 2009 as the 13-year-old regional champs. This is the last year these boys will be able to play Babe Ruth.

The boys on this team also play high school baseball at several area high schools. Six of the boys play baseball at North Pike, three at Parklane, two at Bogue Chitto and one at Brookhaven Academy.
